The FSG Trio will be supporting musicians for this amazing production which will be held on Sunday, September 6th, 2015. (FSG Trio will be supporting performances between 4:30pm-5:30pm)

EnsembleEspanol6The City of St. Augustine has declared that Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, is reserved for EMMA’smajor event celebrating St. Augustine’s 450th birthday. Fiesta 450!, a 6-hour major celebration (3-9:00 p.m.) at the St. Augustine Amphitheater, will feature free, local Spanish-themed performances during the daytime and an evening ticketed performance by Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater.
The gates open at 3:00.Between 4:00 and 5:30 Viva España will feature a FREE Spanish-themed musical salute to St. Augustine directed by Gary Cadwallader on the main stage of the St. Augustine Amphitheater. Local arts organizations participating in this performance are the St. Augustine Orchestra, the St. Augustine Community Chorus, the St. Augustine Youth Chorus, Limelight Theater, and First Coast Opera.
From 5:30 to 7:00 on separate stages and minglingENS_063 amidst the audiences, local historical and artistic groups, including re-enactors Leo and Merri McCarthy and James Bullock (aka Francisco Menendez), will entertain and educate our visitors. Other presenters, emphasizing family involvement through demonstrations and hands-on activities, include the St. Augustine Textile Arts Guild, the St. George Players, The St. Augustine Art Association, representatives from the Castillo de San Marco, and actors portraying historical personages in period costumes.
From 7:30-9:30 Ensemble Español Dance Theater will perform on the main stage. This will be the ticketed headline event for Fiesta 450!. The Ensemble, a premier Spanish dance company, is chartered “to share the rich traditions of the dance, music, literature, and culture of Spain in the classical, folkloric and Flamenco styles.” The Ensemble Espanol
Tickets are on sale now at The St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall Box Offices and at http://staugamphitheatre.comor by phone at 800-745-3000.
